To highlight International Women’s day, Hazazah Pictures launched the short film The Knuckle Princess. an ode to Eri Yoshida who, as a 16 year old girl, became one of the first female baseball players that competed equally among the men in the professional baseball league in Japan and in the USA.
The jury of the adcn 2021 awards was unanimous in agreeing on giving this talented DP a golden lamp. The visual language was stunning and always served the story. It’s intimate, confident, all the shots are corresponding with each other, even with the use of “archival” footage. The use of locations, natural feel to lighting and the the beautiful choice Of lenses were just great. This small unique universe the dp created, is a piece of art that deserves recognition.
