The Occupant

Ella Balinska ( resident Evil , Charlie’s aNgels ) both executive produces and stars in Hugo Keijzer’s survival sci-fi thriller, The Occupant. The film had its world premiere at the inaugural SXSW LONDON festival. The movie is a harrowing tale of survival, grief, and acceptance, set within the harsh environment of the Georgia-Russian border. In The Occupant, Ella Balinska plays geologist Abby, a young woman struggling to accept her sister Beth’s terminal diagnosis. Determined to get Beth into an expensive new trial treatment programme, Abby agrees to a job in remote Georgian taiga to raise the money, but disaster strikes when her plane crashes, and she is left alone in the wilderness.
